Dukeries rally report 21.5.2005

The Z Power crew headed to mansfield on the 18th june for the dukeries rally, the latest round of the BTRDA gravel series. It proved to be a very tough test of man and machine as the weather turned up the heat. A few problems were encountered through the day but nothing too serious,with this being a power event with lots of long straights and sharp corners the crew spent far too much time on the rev limiter in 5th. On the last stage the car in front had a problem and Niall and Pam got stuck in his dust for quite a while,they did get past but the crew feared that a class win was not now possible. The rest of the stage was driven with more than a few risks taken and it was a relief to find that no time had been dropped to second placed Clare Samuel in her polo.
So the final result was 1st in class and 59th o/a.
