North Humberside rally report 2.4.2005

Niall and Pamela started the Humberside hoping for a finish with both crew members failing to complete the tough Yorkshire event in 2004. The DIAMOND MOTORSPORT ZR had a new suspension setup courtesy of LEDA and although it was untested Niall felt confident that it would work well.

The first stage was a bit slow with Niall getting used to the new setup but the crew posted fastest N1 time.The next two stages went by without mishap and the crew had a lead of over a minute going into the fourth stage. The crew were really beginning to enjoy the event when a trip up a bank resulted in a driveshaft breaking. The crew drove the rest of the stage and the next two with one wheel drive!!

Luck was with the ZR crew and they managed to get to the finish to record their third class win of 2005 and 66th o/a.
Niall and Pamela will miss the somerset but will be out again at the Red Dragon on the 21st of May.
